For Lincoln Property Company, the answer was world-class design.

The project will feature high-quality architecture from renowned firm Skidmore Owings & Merrill SOM. The deal was sweetened with public benefits like privately maintained public open space, affordable housing through micro units, and green features like solar panels.

The City Plan Commission and City Council both praised the collaborative process and voted unanimously to approve the planned development district and removal of the D Liquor Control Overlay.

The local neighborhood associations spoke in strong support.

The Uptown Neighborhood Association fully supports the applicant's request. We are particularly impressed by Lincoln's decision to work with SOM and OJB, two of the nation's premier architectural firms.

A great example of the development team working very closely with the Oaklawn Committee as well as the PD 9 neighbors to address concerns.
